8 Days A Week. That’s how long since Pitt’s last game while the team took finals. Yet the Panthers showed no rust in disposing Youngstown State on the hardwood, 91-73, this afternoon at the Peterson Events Center in Pittsburgh.

Led by winger Lamar Patterson’s 18 points, on 7 for 11 shooting, and Center Talib Zanna’s 10th career double-double (10 points, 15 boards), the Panthers never trailed in the ballgame and now stand at 10-0 on the season.

Pitt also received meaningful minutes from Derrick Randall, who scored 11 points on 5 for 7 shooting, off the bench.

The Penguins were led by Senior and star point guard Kendrick Perry, who pumped in 28 points on 11 for 18 shooting, 4 steals and 4 assists.

Next up for Pitt: vs Cincinnati at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Tue 12/17 at 7pm EST in the Jimmy V Classic. Pitt is 9-9 all-time against the BearCats and has lost 2 of the last 3 games in the series.
