Pitt Lands Hargrove
Akron DE Bryce Hargrove made official what most thought would happen: he gave a verbal commitment to Pitt.
Hargrove now becomes the eighth player to verbally commit to Pat Narduzzi for the Class of 2016. Interesting that 4 of those 8 players are from Ohio (Hargrove, Ruben Flowers, Thomas MacVitie and Chawntez Moss).
DreamBackfield.com spoke to Hargrove right after he committed and he told us about coming to Pitt, “It’s where I belong.”
Hargrove had a final three of Pitt, Rutgers and Cincinnati and ended up picking Pitt over Rutgers.
The question now is where will Hargrove (6-6, 255 lbs) play at Pitt: defensive end or defensive tackle? Of course, that might be dictated by how many DE’s Pitt’s able to land in this recruiting class.
The next defensive end that Pitt hopes to land is Charlotte, NC Zack Gilbert. An announcement from him could be coming in the near future.
