Dixon Lands Three-star Guard Justice Kithcart

Jamie Dixon landed another promising guard as three-star guard Justice Kithcart announced his commitment today. The 6’2 combo guard has shown explosive athleticism and should fit the Panther’s system nicely. His defense and transition scoring will be invaluable in the future.

However, he has the weakness that is shared by many Panther players, outside scoring. Dixon has always preferred his guards to be athletic defenders over perimeter-oriented players. So it makes sense Dixon would be attracted to a player with Kithcart’s skillset.

Kithcart could find his way into seeing time as a freshman, since James Robinson is a senior this year. Dixon will be looking for a new floor general to command his team. Right now with the departure of Newkirk there are very few options left in the backcourt. Finally, what this signing shows is that Dixon is committed to added talent and depth to the backcourt.
