Donovan Jeter: “Liking Pitt A LOT”
The Pitt coaching staff landed their first 2017 commitment on Sunday when Johnstown CB Exree Loe gave Pat Narduzzi verbal. It’s early, but they appear to be in good position with one of the WPIAL’s top recruits for 2017.
Early Tuesday evening, Beaver Falls DT Donovan Jeter got the Pitt fan base excited when he tweeted, “Pitt Is On My Mind #H2P.”
Intersting comments so DreamBackField.com contacted Jeter and asked him what he meant by the tweet.
“I’m just liking Pitt A LOT”, said Jeter. “They’re growing on me. The more I think about them, the more I like them.”
Jeter is one of the top defensive tackles in the entire country for the Class of 2017 already holding offers from Pitt, Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan State and Nebraska.
Ever since receiving an offer from the defending national champions Ohio State Buckeyes, many people automatically linked them and Jeter. Also, Jeter has made a couple to State College this summer. But, the 4-star defensive tackle was VERY high on Pitt and Pat Narduzzi tonight.
“Pitt is close to home, family and friends….And they have a great defensive minded head coach. Does it get any better than that?”, said Jeter.
Along with Narduzzi, Jeter has been on record in the past with high compliments of Pitt defensive line coach Tom Sims and he had more praise for him tonight. “He can relate to me. He grew up in a tough area in Detroit. He went from there all the way to the NFL. It’s not easy to come out of that area, it’s like where I’m from. Coach Sims can relate to me,” said Jeter.
Jeter makes up a star-studded 2017 WPIAL Class with Lamont Wade, Paris Ford, David Adams, Josh Lugg and Kenny Robinson.
