Athletic JUCO Defensive End To Visit Pitt

New Pitt defensive line coach Tom Sims is currently scouring the nation for new defensive line prospects. To alleviate the panthers anemic pass rush, it appears he has identified an athletic prospect in Thatcher (AZ) Eastern Arizona defensive end Sean Adesanya (6-foot-4 inches, 235 pounds).
“Coach Sims visited me on Tuesday night,” said Adesanya. “He told me that he loved my film and he wanted to get me to Pitt as soon as possible for a visit. He called me a great football player, the kind of football player he’s looking for.”
“I was on the phone with him prior to his visit and he offered me a scholarship. We talked about Pitt. I think their relationship with the Pittsburgh Steelers is amazing.”
Watch a few minutes of Adesanya’s highlight film and it doesn’t take long to realize he’s an extraordinary fast pass rusher. He’s capable of running a 4.5 forty-yard dash, bench pressing 350 pounds and squatting 500 pounds.
“Pitt’s tight ends coach (Tim) Salem was recruiting me at Illinois. He told me he would continue to recruit me at Pitt and he told Coach Sims about me,” he said. “Coach Sims is great. I like him a lot. You can tell he knows what he’s doing.”
“Pitt’s in the ACC and I know that head coach (Pat) Narduzzi and defensive coordinator (Josh) Conklin are great defensive coaches.”
When about his strengths as a defensive end, he stated, “I’m a disruptive defensive player. Once I hit the edge, you’re never going to catch me. I can read a play and react quickly.”
Adesanya has received scholarship offers from Illinois, Memphis, Southern Mississippi and Middle Tennessee State. He will visit Illinois this weekend and Pitt the following weekend. There’s a chance he may take visits beyond Letter of Intent Day.
“I’m really looking forward to getting to Pittsburgh and learning about the Pitt program.”
